Many of the hardwoods we use will also change and deepen in color over time, a natural characteristic of certain hardwoods. For example, Padauk changes from a rusty-orange to a deep red over time.
We hand cut, tune, and polish each thick copper chime before setting the initial patina using our aging process. The beautiful turquoise green patina on the chimes will continue to grow, age, and develop over time, depending on the environment. For example chimes near the seaside will develop patina faster than a dry or interior location.
